RRB ALP Syllabus 2025 – Comprehensive Guide for CBT 1, CBT 2 & CBAT

The RRB ALP 2025 selection process comprises three stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, and the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). Each stage is designed to assess specific competencies essential for the role of an Assistant Loco Pilot.

CBT 1 focuses on foundational subjects, including:

• Mathematics
• General Intelligence & Reasoning
• General Science
• General Awareness & Current Affairs

This stage consists of 75 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes, with a negative marking of ⅓ for each incorrect answer.

CBT 2 is divided into two parts:

• Part A: Covers Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering, and General Awareness on Current Affairs. This section has 100 questions to be answered in 90 minutes.
• Part B: Focuses on trade-specific knowledge relevant to the candidate's ITI or diploma discipline, comprising 75 questions with a duration of 60 minutes.

Both parts include negative marking of ⅓ for each wrong answer. Notably, Part B is qualifying in nature, requiring a minimum of 35% marks.

CBAT assesses the candidate's aptitude for the role through various test batteries. This stage is qualifying in nature and does not include negative marking.
