The RRB ALP 2025 selection process comprises three stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, and the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). Each stage is designed to assess specific competencies essential for the role of an Assistant Loco Pilot.

This stage consists of 75 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes, with a negative marking of ⅓ for each incorrect answer.

CBT 2 is divided into two parts:

Both parts include negative marking of ⅓ for each wrong answer. Notably, Part B is qualifying in nature, requiring a minimum of 35% marks.

CBAT assesses the candidate's aptitude for the role through various test batteries. This stage is qualifying in nature and does not include negative marking.
