MPESB Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing & M.Sc. Nursing Selection Test 2025
The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal (formerly known as MP Vyapam) has released the Rule Book for the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (PBBSc Nursing) and Master of Science Nursing (M.Sc. Nursing) Selection Test-2025. This test is conducted for admission to nursing training institutions (both government and private) in Madhya Pradesh.
Application Dates: The online application process begins on May 23, 2025, and the last date to apply is June 06, 2025. The application correction window is open from May 23, 2025, to July 01, 2025.
Examination Date: The examination is scheduled to commence from July 01, 2025 (Tuesday).
Courses Offered: This selection test is for admission to 2-year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and 2-year M.Sc. Nursing courses.
Eligibility: Candidates must be Indian citizens and meet specific educational qualifications for each course, along with age criteria. Live registration with the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council is mandatory.

- 5% relaxation in minimum marks for Reserved Category (SC, ST, OBC).

Reservation Policy
- Reservation benefits will be applicable only to candidates who are permanent residents (मूल निवासी) of Madhya Pradesh.
- Reservation rules prevalent in the state at the time of admission to Government and Private Nursing Colleges will apply.
- Reservation will be as per Madhya Pradesh Public Service (Reservation) Act 1994 (No. 21 of 1994) and subsequent guidelines issued by the State Government.
- 10% reservation will be applicable for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as per General Administration Department, Madhya Pradesh order dated July 02, 2019.
- Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) reservation will be applicable as per Indian Nursing Council (INC) standards.
- Note: Reservation for Other Backward Class (OBC) may be subject to change as per honorable court orders.
Online Examination Pattern & Schedule
- The examination will be conducted online.
- Total Questions: 100.
- Each question carries 1 mark.
- There will be NO negative marking.
- Medium of Examination: Hindi/English (Objective type questions with four options).
- Candidates must mark the correct answer using a computer mouse.

Minimum Qualifying Marks (Cut-off Marks):
- Unreserved / EWS Category: 50 Percentile
- Divyangjan (General Category): 45 Percentile
- Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Class: 40 Percentile
- The authority to change the minimum qualifying marks rests with the Medical Education, Public Health & Medical Education Department, MP.
Normalization Process:
- For online examinations conducted in multiple shifts, the examination results will be prepared using the Normalised Equi-Percentile (NEP) scaling technique.

- Year I Subjects: Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Psychology, Sociology, Fundamentals of Nursing, First Aid, Community Health Nursing - I, Environmental Hygiene, Health Education and Communication skills, Nutrition, English, Computer Education.
- Year II Subjects: Medical Surgical Nursing-I, Medical Surgical Nursing-II, Mental Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing.
- Year III Subjects (Part 1): Midwifery & Gynaecological Nursing, Community Health Nursing-II.
- Year III Subjects (Part 2 - Theory): Nursing Education, Introduction to Research and Statistics, Professional Trends & Adjustments, Nursing Administration & Ward Management.
- Year III Subjects (Part 2 - Clinical): Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Midwifery and Gynaecological Nursing, Mental Health Nursing.

- Semester I: Communicative English, Applied Anatomy & Applied Physiology.
- Semester II: Applied Sociology & Applied Psychology, Applied Biochemistry and Applied Nutrition & Dietetics.
- Semester III: Nursing Foundation I & II, Health/Nursing Informatics & Technology, Applied Microbiology and Infection Control including Safety.
- Semester IV: Adult Health Nursing I with Integrated Pathophysiology including BCLS module, Pharmacology (I&II) & Pathology (I&II) (including Genetics).
- Semester V: Adult Health Nursing II with Integrated Pathophysiology including Geriatric Nursing & Palliative Care, Professionalism, Professional Values and Ethics including Bioethics.
- Semester VI: Community Health Nursing I including Environmental Science & Epidemiology, Educational Technology/ Nursing Education, Introduction to Forensic Nursing, Child Health Nursing (I&II).
- Semester VII: Mental Health Nursing (I&II), Nursing Management & Leadership, Community Health Nursing II.

How to Fill the Online Application
- Applications must be submitted online only through the MPESB website: www.esb.mp.gov.in or MPOnline website: www.mponline.gov.in.
- Candidates must upload a recent color passport-size photograph, signature, and self-handwriting.
- Required documents to be scanned and uploaded (for both PBBSc and M.Sc. Nursing):
- Mandatory to bring original photo ID (Voter ID, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Passport) to the exam center. E-Aadhaar is valid only if verified by UIDAI.
- Biometric verification is mandatory at the exam center.
- Application number is essential for downloading the admit card. Keep it safe.
- Candidates can pay the application fee online using Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking.
- An application correction window is available for a specified period with a correction fee. However, Application Number, Transaction ID, Board Application Number, Mobile Number, and Email ID cannot be changed.
- Keep at least 5 copies of the photograph uploaded with the online application for future use during counseling/selection.
